Wall St. / Ghost Bowl / Stokes

Wall Street in the early summer, showing other various routes through the trees below Stokes Bowl.

The bottom route is Wall St.  Follow the left course of Stokes Bowl as it drains you above a cliff bend to the top of Mushroom Couloir (just off the right side of the photo).  Now the red line begins.  Stay right, above a large cliff bend, or one terrace step above (the shorter red line) to avoid going into Mushroom, and you'll end up in an open bowl.  The obvious way down is to go skier's right to follow the drainage, but as you can see in this and other photos, both exit chutes are quite narrow and steep.  Non-intuitively heading straight for the giant cliff reveals an easy ramp that takes you out.

If you go in the trees higher up, and stay above the cliffs that line the right side of Wall St. Bowl, or one terrace higher, you'll go into Ghost Bowl (just off screen).  The lower route is easier.  Remember to get out of Ghost Bowl before you're stuck in Little Annie.

The very top short line is Stokes, the most straightforward way down.  It's easier to find, because it starts at the notch at the bottom of the right hand side of Stokes Bowl in an obvious drainage.

On a powder day, you can leave Stokes and shortcut into the route that leads to Ghost Bowl ("Staircase") by jumping a succession of small cliffs to work your way down.
