Great Scott Bowl

Chair Peak is as far out in the backcountry as you can go and still remain in the Source Lake drainage.  You have to hike up the furthest bowls from Source Lake.  The views of Snow Lake from the ridge are stunning, and a side trip down to the lake and back is worthwhile.  The skier's left of the bowl below 5200' and the ridge line are inside the Alpine Lakes Wilderness Area.
